Sopro de Vida _ Ao ritmo da Liturgia

Rão Kyao

Sopro de Vida is the musical project dedicated to promoting liturgical music by Portuguese authors. Rão Kyao on bamboo flutes accompanied by Renato Silva Júnior on the organ, elevate the music and Marian chants to a unique and unforgettable moment. His first album entitled “At the rhythm of the liturgy” on the occasion of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Almada Seminary contains 25 tracks where Rão Kyao collected themes according to the progression of the liturgical year – Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week and Easter (Passion, Death and Resurrection, Ascension and Pentecost) – and sought, simultaneously, to organize the themes to the rhythm of the Eucharistic celebration – word, offertory, communion and thanksgiving. It also included a song to Our Lady and at the end an original theme: “The Parable”.

The CD consists of songs by popular authors and by other composers such as Canon Ferreira dos Santos, priests António Cartageno, Manuel Faria, Manuel Luís, Carlos Silva, Fernandes da Silva and José Pedro Martins.
